On Tuesday 10th July 2012 the NSO visited The Big Bang North West to take part in a day of activities and award ceremonies celebrating science and in particular young scientists across the North West.

We took along two of our Moonsaic’s and were amazed by the number of eager students looking to complete the puzzles in the fastest time possible.

The top 10 leader board was hotly fought over, but this was how things looked at the end of the day;

1 The Carters School 1 min 53 secs
2 Winstanley College 1 min 54 secs
3 Lancaster Girls Grammar School 1 min 55 secs
4 Deyes High School 2 mins 16 secs
5 Pensby High School for Boys 2 mins 40 secs
6 Bury Church School 3 mins 00 secs
7 St Edmund Arrowsmith 3 mins 02 secs
8 Weatherhead High School 3 mins 06 secs
9 Hawarden High School 3 mins 39 secs
10 Merchant Taylors 3 mins 47 secs

We had a fantastic time and hope that all of our visitors enjoyed their visit to the stand. Special thanks go to our top 3 Moonsaic challengers, who blasted the previous record held!

The organisers Maestro have published their photos from the day on their facebook page, see if you can spot yourself!
