In response to a number of requests, we have now released a new version of LTImage (v4.1) that is capable of saving picture versions of your observations as JPEG, PNG and TIFF files, in addition to the existing BITMAP format. We have also added enhanced contrast options within the 3-colour imaging tool, which give users more control over the colour of their images. For more information on the new version of LTImage, please click here.
To introduce the new functions within LTImage, we have decided to run a competition to find the best colour image created by an NSO school using data from the Liverpool Telescope. Entries can be of any astronomical object, but have to use data obtained by your own school or club. You can find more information on how to create colour images with LTImage by clicking here.
The deadline for entries is Friday 20th July 2012, and images should be sent as an email attachment (one JPEG file per entry please) to firstname.lastname@example.org - when submitting entries, please make sure you include your name, school and the observation codes for the LT images used to create your masterpiece.
